2011 in Review with Pictures

As Christmas approaches and the new year is a little over a week away I thought I would reflect back to all that happened in 2011. In January Eric had accepted a new position with the company he is currently with and he still is enjoying it and that is when all his crazy traveling began.

We rang in 2011 with some good friends and who knew then what a year it would be.

Eric decided he really loved snowboarding so we spent a lot of January, Feb, and March snowboarding.  We even took my mom skiing for the first time in her life and she seemed to really like it. Turns out I am much better at skiing then snowboarding.  This year I also managed not to hurt myself (snowboarding that is).

Then February came and our lives would change forever on the 14th. But before that I got to participate in a Pacer's halftime show with the wonderful ladies from Westfield Jazzercise. I had so much fun and can't wait to do it again this year. I can't remember who they played or if we even won but I had a lot of fun!  And the day before the halftime show we had a bunch of ice on our driveway and since Eric was coming home from a business trip the next day I thought I would shovel the driveway.. Instead I ruptured a disc in my back, that was a smart move..and then the following week found out I was expecting..

Then Feb 14th came and we found out we were pregnant and I stopped taking pictures with me in them :)  Now I wish I would have taken some but every week I had an excuse.  I don't really have any baby bump pictures or anything but here are the few I have.

In March on the anniversary of tearing the tendons in my ankle I decided to go visit the doctor for my annual I hurt myself visit and I had a stress fracture on my foot... (the winter was rough on me :) )

The last week of May Eric and I took our first vacation in 5 years.  Eric's parents were kind enough to let us stay in their home in Florida. I had so much fun because we were in Venice and it brought back so many childhood memories and nothing really had changed since the last time we were there.

The turtle I made Eric pick up when we went to find scrub jays and we saw none. I was 6 months pregnant and it was 90 + degrees out and we rode our bikes a couple miles and I really needed something to cheer me up.

My Grandparents old house

Sarasota Jungle Gardens, I made Eric take me here since my grandparents use to and it is still the same 20 years later

The rest of the summer we didn't really do much. I was hot, cranky, and overly pregnant. I think this was one of the hottest summers in a long time and I was not dealing with it well.
I did have a couple wonderful baby showers though! The first one was in July thrown by the wonderful Susan with all the lovely jazzercise ladies. The next one was in August thrown by my mother in law, then the last one was at the end of August? Or beginning of Sept? I can't remember... but that was thrown by Krista. Thanks to all you wonderful ladies!

Excited for a tutu!

Still so excited that Susan let me wear this hat!

Eric and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary in August by doing nothing and then my 29th birthday by doing nothing. I was just too tired at that point to function.. Then October 12th came and everything since then as been a blur.

Halloween

 Great Grandma E

This has been our year in review. I want to thank everyone that is in our lives and everyone who has supported us this year. 2011 went by so fast and can't believe that is is almost gone. I can not wait to see what 2012 will bring us. Eric already has his first business trip of 2012 scheduled and we know he will be working a lot as they are absorbing  a couple plants (but thankfully this time he isn't at the plant that is closing).  As always I will continue to take lots of pictures of Baby Ella and anything else interesting that might come up. I know Eric has plans of camping and other random things this summer so we should have some good ones... By this time next year she will be 14 months old and who knows if I will have any sanity left.  She is such a blessing but taking care of her has been the hardest thing I have had to do so far in my life and she isn't even able to get into anything yet.

Now if you happen to by one of the lucky recipents in the beginning of my pregnancy of my "Daily Baby Update" and have any of them saved would you be able to send them to me? I forgot to save them and I am Pretty sure baby needs them when she has a baby or I need to put them in her baby book..  If I recall they were pretty ridiculous..

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!
