Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! We had visitors and a party on Saturday then church and daddy and Ella time on Sunday.

As of last week Ella finally has a nap schedule!! I am so excited since last week was the first time I could actually put Ella down and get some stuff done. It also puts Ella in a much happier mood. The only problem now is I don't want to be out of the house during Naptime! I think in about a year I will have it all worked out.

So I haven't been posting as many pictures lately because I usually only take phone pictures which was fine until a couple weeks ago. Now Ella moves so much that my phone camera is not good enough to get her swinging arms, kicking legs and general craziness. So I made it a point to take out our good camera to get some pictures of my crazy little girl. Here are a few from today.

Bug Bowl/Spring fest

So today we decided to venture up to Purdue to attend the annual Bug Bowl/ Spring fest.  It was a gorgeous day and it was good to get out and walk around. I thought Ella would love all the baby animals but she really didn't show much interest.  Daddy even took her into the insect petting zoo and she was unimpressed with all the bugs but it was there when she spotted it , her new obsession. It was gold, every kid had one and it floated!  Once I realized she was in love with this magical floating gold object we had to go find one. Once we got it she was so excited and laughed and laughed, it is amazing how the smallest things can make her day. Ella and I went grocery shopping today and she sat in the cart for the first time. She seemed to really enjoy the new perspective and laughed and smiled at everyone. But in true Ella form screamed as soon as I took all the people away!

Happy 6 Month Birthday

Ella is 6 months old today! Where has the past 6 months gone? I look at her in amazement and realize my sweet little baby is growing up. She has changed so much in the past 6 months. She can now sit unassisted, she has her 2 bottom front teeth, she is rolling around like a crazy baby and she is determined to start crawling.

Some things that haven't changed since Ella was born are her eating habits and sleeping habits. Ella likes to eat every 2 hrs or less and she still hates sleep. I can count on one hand how many nights she has slept for a solid 6+ hrs. The rest of the time we are up 2 hrs after bedtime and then 2-5 hrs later. Some nights she is up 2 times and other nights she is up 10 (Tuesday night was rough). We fight each other during every single nap and every night. I keep meaning to read the sleep training books but honestly I don't know when to just sit and read. I write all my blog post on my phone as Ella eats or as I am trying to put her down for a nap.

Easter weekend

For Easter we ventured down south to visit family. We had a great drive down and a horrible drive back up. The drive home took us about 4 1/2 hrs (2 1/2 hr trip normally). Ella was not feeling the trip at all so we ended up stopping multiple times. After our last stop we were determined to press on and I decided Ella wanted to listen to the baby Einstein cd. Well that did the trick! As soon as it came on she settled down and went to sleep!

While down in the knobs we visited Huber's to feed the geese,Church, went to Eric's parents, Both of his grandmothers' and to my mom's. Here are some pictures from this weekend.
